Meriwether McDonald-Schell has been on the stage since the ripe age of four. From dance to music, drama, art, and pageantry, Meriwether has always had a knack for performance. She has been helping at the studio from the very start, at WRDs predecessor, Early Spring Arts, in Southlake, Texas.
Meriwether was a Soprano I in Brookings Harbor High School’s Seabreeze Choir, and graduated in 2024 from Southwestern Oregon Community College’s High School Education Program with high honors in both English and Science.
Meriwether McDonald Schell is an accomplished performer and visual artist, and has won highscores in many pageants and dance competitions, as well as winning first place in the 2019 Curry County Talent Show with a dance that she later took to state. Her art has won Oregon Best of State multiple years in a row, as well as many County Blue Ribbons.
Meriwether has worked behind the scenes as well, taking on prop and costume design and creation, set building, and soundwork.
After being in over twenty five dance productions, Meriwether has what it takes to help others shine on stage.
“Dance and performance is my life. From the very start, I’ve been living and breathing it nearly everyday. I love every aspect of it, from technique class to preparing for a show, from building props and scenery to dancing a solo under the spotlight. I want to share that joy and excitement with others. It really is one of the best things in the world.”
